POLAROGRAPHY AT THE BEGINNING OF 21ST CENTURY

At the beginning of third millennium various methods derived from the original Heyrovský's polarography are used all over the world. By their sensitivity and precision they belong to the leading methods of analytical chemistry among which they excel by their simplicity and financial accessibility.

Further research and development of polarography continues also in the Czech Republic. In cooperation with the J.Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry a new portable computer-controlled Eco-Tribo Polarograph with a new Pen-Type Mercury Drop Electrode has been produced and is being constantly improved according to the design and under the guidance of Ladislav Novotný.
